Tech Tip - Convert Office 2007 files to 2003. The new extensions may not open when you email the new file formats. February 12th, 2009
- Open any Office 2007 application (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
- Click on the Office Button in the upper left hand corner.
- Click on ‘Word Options’ in the bottom right corner
- Click on ‘Save’
- Now click on the drop-down box next to ‘Save files in this format:’
- Change the default from Word Document (*.docx) to Word 97-2003 Document (*.doc)
- You can also do this for Excel 2007, Publisher 2007, etc.
